Reconocidas canciones como “Give a little bit”, “It’s raining again”, “Dreamer”, “The logical song” y otras.

Temperature raised several degrees in relation to the previous nights at Alicante Jazz Festival because of the presence of Roger Hodgson, former vocalist of Supertramp, a pop-rock British band that achieved its biggest success in late 70s and early 80s, and existed with different members until 2002. Roger left the group in 1983 to embarking a solo career with new songs.

But what the fans value is Supertramp sound. It is not a Jazz Festival concert but a World Music Festival concert, and the audience showed their happiness in a sold out venue, remembering some of the most known songs of the band that were written by Roger Hodgson, who plays acoustic piano, electric piano and two acoustic guitars.

He surrounds the audience with his voice, accompanied by a complete performer who plays sax during the most of the show Roger played at Lucentum. Famous songs like “Give a little bit”, “It’s raining again”, “Dreamer”, “The logical song” and more. The rhythm follows the rhyme and vice versa.

It was an intimate spectacle that surely nobody will forget. Alone or with his mate, he is the starring and his personality grows when he concentrates himself. A good example of that are “School”, “Hide in your shell” and “Breakfast in America”, where Roger Hodgson’s talent shines, a talent that made Supertramp became a legend.

The old fans of the band are lucky to remember now those classic songs that still have power and freshness above the music fashions, while most of the current singers don’t stand the test of time. So different generations celebrate past and present of this artist and cheer for the future of his unmistakable voice when he is 58 years old.

Roger has a quiet energy, is in good shape, enjoys his shows and makes many people are happy. He performed at Lucentum and then he left carrying his music to other place.
