The Concert in Concert

What Crisis?

The Concert in Concert

Speaking of Roger Hodgson is talk about a music legend, founder Rick Davies with the progressive rock band Supertramp, band during the 70's would give us an unforgettable catalog of songs that can catalog them day classic music.

After his last visit to Spain Roger Hodgson returned to Spain in 3 dates: Madrid, Sebastian and Andorra, the tour would start in the capital on June 5 day hanging the "Sold Out", had aroused much excitement around Hodgson in Madrid, according to what we saw and heard that night those expectations were fully justified.

An atmosphere from early in the evening quite festive around La Riviera, many people coming from different geographical areas as we saw, a concert would begin quite soon, at 21:00 h, since the evening of Mr. Hodgson would last until after 23:00 h.

Quite timely, a room full to bursting and keyboards, piano, drums and other gadgets instruments as plants and not backing musicians took to the stage into position to make way for the departure of Hodgson with a tremendous ovation from all the room with a "Hola Madrid" was placed on the keyboard and began to play the fantastic "Take The Long Way Home" that wonderful Breakfast in America 79.

Wonder that rolling start with "School" of the "Crime of the Century" and the first night that revolutionized the room "In Jeopardy" from their album "In the Eye of the Storm", an audience that since the start of show no stop singing the songs one after another with Hodgson, that during part of the show was very grateful to the Spanish public for giving this fantastic reception room filling and possibly go back next year again.

With a sound and light spectacular game attack the "Lovers In The Wind" from In the Eye of the Storm 83 with little pause that would link with the "The More I Look", the first night raid on the "Open the Door "2000 album from the great post-Supertramp stage with a fairly close and similar to the sound of old; album "Crime of the Century" was a constant tonic overnight "Hide in Your Shell" was the prelude to other classics of the night, "Easy Does it" the Crisis? What Crisis? Also I link to another work of the same album "Sister Moonshine".

Mr. Hodgson musically not give us no respite since budding had a "Breakfast in America" where the undersigned enjoy as a dwarf singing and jumping to the beat of those "nananana" end of the song, goosebumps at times after this musical orgasm would have a little quiet with the "Lady" of the Crisis? What Crisis? and "Love Is a Thousand Times" of "Open the Door", we could not amodorrar much since then without anesthesia came another eternal "The Logical Song" from his "Breakfast in America", one of those songs that are and will be in the musical memory of many of us, that night we were watching the musical, Hodgson in top form both the piano, guitar and vocally, the band that accompanied him was not left behind, the alter ego of John Helliwell lived up to the teacher. Like a radio musical formula were ringing then "Death & a Zoo" Open the Door ", the quiet and romantic "If Everyone was Listening", "Child Of Vision" with that seventies pace all the more disk, and more relaxed with his acoustic "Know Who You Are" from his work ... Famous Last Words ... 82 that sold nearly a million copies in the U.S., now we have to stop along the way and arriving two songs from those you strike a chord, first "Dreamer" where the entire room not stop clapping, jumping, shouting encouragement to others and Hodgson, even during stoppages of small show the audience began chanting the familiar "oeoeoe" as both Hispanic and hear in soccer fields, after completion of the eternal "Dreamer" it was his turn to the equally famous "Fool's Overture"
Mr. Hodgson term here and touch my fiber, the words to describe this issue live but fall short You could define an "awesome" one.

After the "Fool's Overture" Hodgson retired from the stage to return moments later after strong standing ovation and encore play of rigor, that this time there were three, the first "Two Of Us" the Crisis? What Crisis?, The encore began calm and relaxed, but it was only a mirage as it came "Give a Little Bit" to raise the public, and as the kick and end despiporre "It's Raining Again" with which gave after their appointment Mr. Hodgson in Madrid, an unforgettable night hopefully next year will return again."
