l'album Breakfast In America.

lequel il avait notamment produit son premier DVD intitulé Roger Hodgson Take the Long Way Home, Live in

de petits arbres feuillus, il a ouvert le bal avec l’immortelle chanson Take the Long Way Home.

The Eye of the Storm, paru en 1984.

On a entendu les chansons Hide in Your Shell, Give A Little Bit, Dreamer, The Logical Song, Breakfast In America, It's Raining Again, pour ne nommer que celles-ci.

Montreal  - The British Roger Hodgson, legendary voice of the group Supertramp who sold more than 60 millions albums, was back at Wilfrid-Pelletier, in Montreal, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album Breakfast in America.

After a concert in 2006, (he also had a full house for four sold out shows three years later at Place des Arts)

during which his first DVD was produced and entitled Roger Hodgson Take the Long Way Home, Live in Montreal,

the multi-instrumentalist was back in town to share, for two sold out shows on consecutive evenings, his most popular songs that he wrote plus also some new ones.

Songwriter and former leader of Supertramp, who wrote most of the hits of the former group, was again very

happy to sing several classics that crossed through generations.

“Good evening Montreal, good evening my friends. It is such a pleasure to be here, even more that this is the

end of our tour.  Supertramp and I, we always  had a very special history with this city.” commented Hodgson,

visibly in great shape.

In the middle of a stage filled with instruments (keyboards, guitars, piano, drums, saxophones…) and dotted

with small trees, he opened the evening with the immortal song Take the Long Way Home.

Afterward, the famous melody on harmonica that announced the always popular School, solid hit of his former

band, that was delivered with generosity and good solos of keyboard and flute.

Followed In Jeopardy and the nice ballad Lovers in the Wind, two songs from his first solo album, The Eye of

the Storm, released in 1984.

 IRREPROACHABLE PERFORMANCE

After these first songs, we could already fell that the musical interpretation of the arrangements during the

evening would be almost flawless. The four musicians (three Canadians and an American) mastered every piece.

The evening continued with an assortment of Hodgson’s classics from Supertramp and of certain pieces originating

of his own solo albums.  We heard the songs Hide in Your Shell, Give A Little Bit, Dreamer, The Logical Song, Breakfast In America, It's Raining Again, to name only a few.

While waiting for an album with new songs, the 61-year-old singer proposes a compilation, Classics Live, that

offers several new versions of his classics that were recorded on his 2010 World Tour.

Roger Hodgson will be performing again Saturday evening at Wilfrid-Pelletier.
