Give a Little Bit making a big difference!

The Kids Help out campaign sponsored by Cartoon Network and using “Give a Little Bit” as their theme song, has raised over $5 million for Tsunami Relief. On May 26 Roger went to a ceremony honoring the kids and invited everyone to join in singing “Give a Little Bit”. The ceremony took place at an elementary school in Torrance, California. The kids in this one school district raised over $100,000 by selling t-shirts designed by a first grader, and they experienced the joy of making a difference by giving a little bit to show they care.[read more on the news page]

Disaster Relief Project

“Give a Little Bit” is fast becoming one of the anthems for aid and fundraising efforts. It has been chosen as the theme song for a world-wide campaign called The Kids’ Television Tsunami Disaster Relief Project, sponsored by the Cartoon Network in conjunction with UNICEF. This campaign will reach 170 million households in 160 countries around the world, airing in 17 languages. The project leader has a vision that “Give a Little Bit” can become a theme song for many charities and public service announcements, unifying all efforts to support international relief projects. Latest International Recording

Roger’s latest version of “Give a Little Bit” is a very powerful and soul-stirring live performance with a 100-piece orchestra and 80-piece choir. It was recorded in Germany just before Christmas as part of the highly-acclaimed European production Night of the Proms.

The Vision

“Give a Little Bit” (read the lyrics — and Roger’s interpretation of them) has always been the song Roger ends his concerts with, the audience coming together singing, “Now is the time that we need to share, so send a smile and show that you care” — a beautiful vision of the human unity and caring that is pouring forth in the wake of this disaster as the world bands together. Roger has been moved to great compassion by the tsunami disaster and feels that this is one way he can help to serve those in need. He is offering this recording for use in part or in its entirety for public service announcements, telethons or other fundraising programs. He is also sending videotapes of the song, along with a personal message from him, to be played at benefit concerts and radio and television shows around the world, and is open to playing live benefit concerts as well. He hopes to inspire people to open up their hearts, get involved and “give a little bit” to support relief efforts.
