Backstage Pass from Madrid, Spain ~ June 5, 2014

What a rockin show - a real love fest! The sold out Madrid standing audience at Sala La Riviera Madrid welcomed Roger with open arms tonight. He started his set with "Take the Long Way Home” and the audience responded chanting, Roger…Roger…Roger…Roger – this ensued off and on multiple times during the evening as did the renown soccer chant – Olé, Olé, Olé!

Roger treated his audience to the rarely performed "Love is a Thousand Times." The faces in the crowd were etched with emotion. The evening was electric from beginning to end - the audience sang, clapped, whistled, and danced all night long. Roger captured the heart of the audience even deeper than he had before. Roger was noticeably touched and commented that it has been too long since he was here in Madrid! Multiple generations were represented. There were young teens, parents, and grandparents.

It’s amazing how many people I heard say ...

Backstage Pass from Milwaukee, WI ~ May 3, 2014

Our last night here in Milwaukee was relaxed and exciting both at the same time.   Fans called out for Roger to stay another night and asked when he was returning again.  Roger shared how Milwaukee was the city that Supertramp broke in the US and there has been a love affair with his music ever since.

The great news is that we will be back!

Backstage Pass from Milwaukee, WI ~ May 2, 2014

As with last night, Roger's performance of his unrecorded "The Awakening" touched people very deeply. It is a song about forgiving oneself. Another highlight of our residency in Milwaukee has been the nightly performance of "Death and a Zoo" which poses the question, if you were a wild animal and were captured, would you rather face life in a cage or death. People really cut loose on "Child of Vision" and during "Give a Little Bit," the audience stood up and sang together, as one.

Tonight someone told us that Roger's smile is infectious and that the energy from the stage and in the room, plus memories of Roger's songs, made them feel so very young again. As one fan said "It was like it was 30 years ago and when we were all a bit less grey." Many people have come to all three shows and are coming again tomorrow night. ...

Backstage Pass from Milwaukee, WI ~ May 1, 2014

Another amazing night with our second of four consecutive sold out orchestral shows in Milwaukee! My personal favorite, "Along Came Mary," was one of the highlights tonight. Roger has not performed this beauty in quite some time and as I felt the emotion and looked out into the audience I noticed that many were wiping away tears during this song.

The staff of the venue were amazed as to how many people were here tonight who had also come last night. Tonight's audience was treated to some songs that were not performed last night and are not often played such as "Babaji" and the unrecorded "The Awakening." Roger acknowledged fans John and Becky just prior to "Two of Us." It was their first time seeing Roger live in concert and they shared on Roger's Guestbook on his site that on their wedding day they walked down the aisle to Roger's music.

Although the ...

Backstage Pass from Milwaukee, WI ~ April 30, 2014

What a grand evening! Roger was in fine voice and the crowd was absolutely mesmerized seeing him and the orchestra performing in this intimate setting. The sold out show was beyond anyone's expectations, with the fine musicians of the Milwaukee symphony orchestra performing behind Roger and his band.

The promoter said he heard several people say that they sounded just like the original recording. He also told us that the show was "explosive" and that he thought people didn’t expect it to be SO powerful...and when the orchestra really kicked in, the audience was like "holy cow!”

Fans came from literally around the world tonight, with many planning to come to all four shows, and it was like a reunion of sorts with fans who had met each other at previous shows and in some cases have become good friends. In fact, some told us they have been Facebook friends for years ...
