Backstage Pass from Lauchheim, Germany ~ July 31, 2015

As I look back at the series of backstage passes on Facebook over the years it magnifies how blessed we are to be able to support Roger sharing his music around the globe.  What touches me the most is witnessing the joy and other deep emotions that people in his audiences experience each night.

Tonight at Schloss Kapfenburg was no exception. The audience gave Roger a really warm welcome when he came on stage and when Roger asked how many were here last time, many raised their hands.  Unlike the heavy rain on our previous visit, tonight was perfectly clear.

The audience especially loved Had a Dream, a hit song from his first solo album, In the Eye of the Storm, featuring Roger on electric guitar!

We will see you tomorrow in France at Festival de Carcassonne Officiel!

Backstage Pass from Weissenburg in Bayern, Germany ~ July 30, 2015

Well – we’re off to a good start on this next tour leg. With the beauty of playing in the forest combined with the deep emotion of Roger’s songs and voice it was another magical evening under the stars.

Fans gathered together for their own homecoming after not seeing each other for many months and years. This aspect of Roger’s touring is as important to him as his music. He often speaks of having the best fans all over the world - our "International Community."

Roger commented, "Tonight was a very good show; we all enjoyed it. The show felt very fresh and my voice was strong.   It was a very beautiful setting going from pre-dusk to nighttime so it felt like the whole energy unified inward as the evening progressed. It was in the trees and a very magical."

We will see you tomorrow night in Lauchheim, Germany and then on to France!

Cheers,
Shakti ...

Backstage Pass from Langesund, Norway ~ July 18, 2015

What a show we had tonight for the full house here in Langesund, Norway at Wrightegaarden. We spent the early part of the day travelling from Brønnøysund on a charter flight that the Wrightegaarden Festival provided. Once we arrived, we were very warmly greeted by Frode, who welcomed us to the venue. Tonight was the grande finale of this leg of the tour and Roger and the band were extra hot! The crowd felt the electricity from the stage and throughout the show people were singing, dancing, and clapping.

There was a beautiful sunset over the stage and even as the sun was setting, it was still quite light - a beautiful backdrop for the show. Roger performed his unrecorded "The Awakening” by special request and the crowd was mesmerized. The encore of Give a Little Bit had many people with their arms around each other and during It’s Raining Again ...

Last night the band stayed at one of the scenic spots of Norway with a view of Thorgatten Mountain - the "mountain with a hole in it.” Many have come from all over to spend time in this magical area. And now as I look out behind the festival grounds onto the water there are many boats in the harbor, including a huge cruise ship with people just hanging and enjoying the show.

Thorstein, head of the festival, was so happy tonight. He has been wanting to have Roger play here for years and Roger finally came. He said Roger is the biggest artist that they have had here and people are so happy. As we were talking he started listing all his albums and he has them all!

After the show he came back to the dressing room and said, "My heart is beating. We were standing by this bridge and ...

What a truly wonderful couple of days we have had here in Veszprém, Hungary. This was the 12th year of VeszprémFest and Roger’s sold out show tonight was the talk of the surrounding area for days, if not weeks. This is our first visit here to this beautiful country and from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty and given the "red carpet” treatment. Roger’s dressing room was in the Archbishop’s residence, also known as the Veszprém Palace, and the stage was literally right in front of the steps leading up to the magnificent 13th century residence.

Many people here tonight told us they have been waiting years to see Roger in concert. The Festival Director introduced Roger and the crowd greeted him with thundering applause. The courtyard and square were filled with music. The show was very, very special for the people of Hungary and what a night it ...
