Pechanga Casino and Resort ~ Temecula, CA ~ February 26, 2011 ~ Review by David Mendenhall

Two up, two down! The second show of Roger's tour like the first, was a complete sellout. In case you haven't heard, Roger is performing with a band of four musicians this year, and all but drummer Bryan Head who hails from Southern California is Canadian.
Roger began the show with "Take The Long Way Home," and "School" before surprising the audiennce with "In Jeopardy," a rarely performed track from his 1984 solo LP "In The Eye Of The Storm." "Lovers In The Wind" from that very same LP immediately followed.
Roger and the band have already congealed into a tight unit, and before the show is complete, Roger and his band have gone through all four of the songs that he wrote on "Crime Of The Century." "School," "Hide In Your Shell," "If Everyone Was Listening," and of course "Dreamer."  This pattern is also repeated for all of Roger's written ...

Pechanga Casino and Resort ~ Temecula, CA ~ February 25, 2011 ~ Review by Linda Gianotti

What a glorious start to Roger's 2011 World Tour.  A sell-out audience very warmly and enthusiastically greeted Roger when he walked out on stage.  Many fans had travelled great distances for this most special evening.  Fans were here from Montreal, Philadelphia, Hawaii, Wisconsin, and several cities in Texas, to name a few.  Several had driven two days to get here.   There was nothing that was going to keep fans from this concert.

As the first notes of Take the Long Way Home were heard, the applause was thunderous.  Throughout the show, Roger regularly engaged his audience and talked about how some of his songs came about.  He told us how Fool's Overture was actually three separate pieces of music that he had and that "one day they magically came together like a jigsaw."   Every single song performed, such as Hide in Your Shell, Child of Vision, Fool's Overture,...was sheer ...

Commentary by Mark Anton Austin ~ Birmingham, Alabama

Greetings from the Deep South, Birmingham, Alabama USA.

SUPERTRAMP has a huge following here in Alabama. Unfortunately, our radio doesn't expose your solo material, If you were booked to play here, we actually, riding on the name of your former group, have enough small-medium-large venues which would most certainly accommodate your legions of fans, and as well, would be a financial gain for you and your current band. It's a shame we don't have the opportunity to see you perform live here in the south. Georgia is a great state for music just as well, (Atlanta), and I know that legions of your fans would travel from Alabama to Georgia to see you live, notwithstanding your current fans from Georgia, who I am most sure are quite aware of your solo material.

As for me, I have been an enormous fan since my brother laid "Crime" on my bed in '74. I ...
