Holland loves Roger - tonight reminded me of Woodstock and concerts from my youth where you showed up early in the day with your family and friends and staked out a spot with your blanket and enjoyed music all day long in the warm sun.
Music is definitely the language that needs no translation - good music touches the hearts and souls of all cultures and ignites memories. In this case it is clear that Roger’s music has been passed down through the generations. From the first song, it was a big sing-a-long. What a tribute to any artist who has written songs that have meant so much to so many all over the world. My favorite part of any concert is watching the audience as they are taken on an emotional journey. Many here have also seen Roger before at Bospop and other areas.
Roger was clearly enjoying himself tonight! He certainly loves the people of Holland. He commented that he never heard an audience singing Give a Little Bit so loudly.
We’ve got three shows in the Netherlands during the next few months. Although Roger’s September 2 show in Amsterdam is sold out, he will be returning to Amsterdam next year on April 18 and to Rotterdam on April 19. We’d love to see you all again! Tomorrow we will be at the Cornbury Festival in the UK. We are heading your way, England!
