The temperature finally dropped down from the record 38 degrees from earlier in the day as we approached the concert time. It ended up begin a picture perfect night and as I walked through the crowd I met lots of friends and fans from countries all over Europe.
The city streets were full to overflowing and many filled the windows above as well. I went up to the VIP room in one of the charming Tudor style buildings to see their view and to capture a shot. As soon as I walk into the room Roger started playing Had a Dream and all the guests immediately jumped on their feet and started dancing. I should have snapped a photo of them as well - they were all having so much fun!
Roger mentioned to the audience that today is the 16th birthday of the son of our bass player, David. The whole crowd sang Happy Birthday and David was able to get it on tape to send to his son. What a beautiful way to wind down the evening before everyone had their arms in the air for the final song of the night, Itís Raining Again.
Next stop on the grand tour - Spain!
