Backstage Pass from Curitiba, Brazil ~ October 17, 2014
We returned to Curitiba today and saw many familiar faces that we saw on our first trip in 2012 to this beautiful concert hall, Teatro Positivo. Brazil is beginning to feel like home – it’s Roger’s fourth time performing in this country. Tonight Roger walked out to greet the people and shook hands with some in the audience. The warmth of the people here touch his heart. He was impressed how they understand his English. What a day it’s been - our five hour bus ride today turned into a seven hour journey due to a very tragic accident that we encountered on the freeway. We are all so grateful to be here and able to bring so many smiles to people’s faces. Our equipment all finally arrived before the first show yesterday in Florinaópolis, the only thing we are still waiting for is Bryan’s suitcase. Fortunately there was a cool mall not far from the hotel and he went on a shopping spree. Hopefully it will last, as there still is no confirmation that it has been found.
These are the behind the scenes things that people don’t often hear about. And guess what – tomorrow we get to do it again – we’re off to play sold-out Rio, Roger’s third show in a row. And on Sunday we rest!
