Backstage Pass from Englewood, NJ - October 25, 2013
It was great to be back in New Jersey and see our friends and fans tonight in Englewood at the bergenPAC (Bergen Performing Arts Center). We had a great, energetic audience who were on their feet several times during the show. Roger performed one of his most touching songs, "Puppet Dance," which is not often part of his set list. The crowd was mesmerized.
Toward the end of the show, we had an unusual experience for the last three songs. There were large yellow balloons raining down from the balcony. That really set the atmosphere for "It's Raining Again." It was raining balloons and they were bouncing through the air all over the venue. What a great ending for tonight's concert! After the show, we met the two long-time fans from New York who were blowing up the balloons during the concert and sending them down at the end. It was a fun night for all.
Join us in Westbury, NY tomorrow, Saturday, at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury! Many in tonight's audience told us they are coming to Westbury, too! We also invite you to join us on Sunday in Collingswood, NJ at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. We will see you there!

Roger's music rises from the seat not only human bodies but lifts also the soul, somewhere above, and makes of ordinary day an festive.
And "rain" of yellow balloons? Love is always resourceful when eager give it back.
That's the magic flow...
Having driven up to Englewood from Virginia, I can say it was well worth the trip and My husband and I had the best fun! Roger's music has been a big part of our life during the 27 years that we have been together. We hope to see Roger and the band here in the area near Richmond, VA soon; ....and oh yeah, I was one of the gals dancing' in my chair, up and down from my seat and singing along!! FUN, FUN!!
We had waited a year for this show after the original date was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. I was very young when Breakfast in America came out so I never got to see Roger live. Wow, what a show! The band was tight, Aaron MacDonald is a super talent, and Roger has written and performs the most beautiful songs for 12-String Acoustic Guitar. This is the first concert I have attended where every song got a standing ovation. Roger was interacting with the audience all evening which gave us all a personal connection with the performance. Thank you Roger for all these years of musical enjoyment and fulfillment :-)
It's been a week since I've seen the show, but when I remember it I feel exhilarated. I originally had not planned on going (very tough week leading up to the day of the show), but at the last minute I changed my mind. I was unsure whether Roger would still have that wonderful tenor, after not hearing him in so many years. To say I was surprised by his performance would be the understatement of the year. I was amazed! He brought back so many wonderful memories for me. His voice has picked up a softness that has made his singing even more remarkable and memorable. Thank you Roger for such a great show. Good luck with the rest of the tour and come back to Englewood really soon!
