Barcelona, Spain ~ March 31, 2011 ~ Review by Toni

I had the privilege to attend the sound check and actually I enjoyed the improvisations of Roger,  can talk among us and let my thoughts fly to many places.

My eyes were happy and I knew that we could, at least, take some photos at the end of the concert but what I didn’t know whether if we where could to talk to him, and if so, did not know I would say to him.
When sound check had finished ,and we came up the stage I was completely blocked.... Even more when Roger approached me and told me, while we shake hands:
"You're the one who plays  piano and she is your daughter, who sings with the voice that has touched my heart. " I know I thanked him for his music, forallowing me to be near him at that time.
I thanked him again and again, and within me, I was grateful to you because it is clear that without you, Abel, I probably would never have been with him.

What should I say about the moment when my little Aina  sang while Roger was  playing the  piano? I was excited, yes,
because I remembered that when I bought my first album "Breakfast in America" was the same age as her.
I remembered the album cover and photos left behind where the band were having breakfast at a typical American roadhouse.
There was Roger, in that case, 30 years younger and I, sat, listening to that album with headphones at full speed and reading the lyrics of the songs without really knowing what they meant.

I was excited because I realized the simplicity and sincerity of Roger in his actions, he didn't do anything for show but because he really felt it.
I won't forget his face looking at my little girl. I'll not ever forget  the sight of Linda, so  tender or more than Roger, and her tears of intense emotion.

All the rest that happened that night was like a good sweet after a delicacy. I really enjoyed to see, hear and feel the concert next to my daughter
who sang almost every song, although she said not knowing the words to more than a couple of them.
I keep the moments of ecstasy, with those moments of magic that one day, at the Palau de la Música, I had the pleasure of living.

An old Chinese proverb says ...

Tell me - I'll forget it
Show me - I can I remember it
Let me to experience it, and I will understand it ...
