Pechanga Casino and Resort ~ Temecula, CA ~ February 26, 2011 ~ Review by David Mendenhall
Two up, two down! The second show of Roger's tour like the first, was a complete sellout. In case you haven't heard, Roger is performing with a band of four musicians this year, and all but drummer Bryan Head who hails from Southern California is Canadian.
Roger began the show with "Take The Long Way Home," and "School" before surprising the audiennce with "In Jeopardy," a rarely performed track from his 1984 solo LP "In The Eye Of The Storm." "Lovers In The Wind" from that very same LP immediately followed.
Roger and the band have already congealed into a tight unit, and before the show is complete, Roger and his band have gone through all four of the songs that he wrote on "Crime Of The Century." "School," "Hide In Your Shell," "If Everyone Was Listening," and of course "Dreamer." This pattern is also repeated for all of Roger's written classics from the top selling LP of 1979 "Breakfast In America," - "Take The Long Way Home," Breakfast In America," "The Logical Song," "Child Of Vision," and "Lord Is It Mine." The last song of the set, "Fool's Overture" was nothing but a crowd pleasing sensation that drew a deafening standing ovation.
For the encore, the songs "Two Of Us," and "Give A Little Bit" only confirmed that not only were these the songs that most of the audiennce grew up with, but that these were the songs that resonated most deeply. These songs with their forever positive message would guide and carry them home with a smile on this night.

A mesmorizing night! Please play California more often. Thank you Roger!
Loved the concert! Because of the inclement weather, I also would've loved to hear Roger Hodgson and his band play "It's Raining Again". Nevertheless, a most magical night...
OMG! This show was AMAZING!!!! Kudos to all of you, especially Roger! But most of all Aaron MacDonald was extra HOT!!!! Between the Sax and Keyboards and I have on question.... did I see Aaron in the Elevator of Pechanga!!!!! Can you ask please ask him, as NO ONE believes me? I had to go down to the stage during ENCORE to find out for myself and I can swear it was him! LOL Great great concert, sound was awesome! We danced the ENTIRE time!
I don't even know where to begin.
I was first introduced to Supertramp in 1977' my senior year of High School and the first son g I heard was
Hide in your shell. I was under the influence of tha nasty
wacky tabaccy... Haha. I then introduced Supertramp to my friend/ roommate/ coworker from Sizzler and her boyfriend..... Ling story short.... She moved away and
I became friends with her ex and one thing led to another and we have now been married 30 years and
Supertramp / Roger Hodgson has continued to be our
number 1 music preference. We saw Supertramp in 1978 at the Oakland Collasium and then when he was in Concord with Ringo Starr and his all star band.
So when I heard he was going to be at the Pechanga Casino, I couldn't just get tickets for one show.... I got tickets for both shows and we stayed at the casino foe the weekend. we drove up from Sacramento and it was
About 8 hours in the car each way, but it was well worth it..... Being there was oh so magical. We had the best time ever singing along with Roger. I wish he would do some concerts here in Sacramento or Lake Tahoe..... I know the People would come..... He is Loved by so many....... Thank you so much Roger for doing this tour. It came at a time when we really need some inspiration and Hope and we always know when we hear your songs..... Everything is gonna be alright......
Luv ya Roger...... Your voice and songs are beautiful and I love your band...... Two Thumbs Up !!!!!!
Dan and Laura Haywood
FANtastic show...Roger Hodgson and his new band were terrific!!!! along with his long time Sax player Aaron and many more instruments he can play and with the new members Ian on Bass, Bryon on drums and Kevin on keyboards fill out the band. They take you back when Supertramp Were the biggest thing in the 70s. Now with Roger carrying on with the music he wrote and sang on and the solo stuff he has done and still writing new music. Go see...go see a master at his craft you will not be disappointed!!! Roger,s music is addicting! Keith in Oshkosh!!
Thankyou Roger and Band for an awesome evening. We laughed and cried and had the best night. I wish you very well
