Madrid, Spain ~ July 29, 2010 ~ Jose

English Translation Below

ENGLISH

On July 29th we could enjoy a wonderful concert of Roger Hodgson in Madrid.

Since last time I saw him here I have been able to confirm that his voice is better than ever and his live songs now sound better mainly thanks to Aaron's contribution. Aaron has become a multi-instrumentalist as Roger himself, apart from wind instruments, he plays keyboards, percussion and makes harmonies. Now they can play complex songs like Fool's Overture or Soapbox Opera.

When Roger was playing Lovers in the Wind it happened a very funny thing, it rose a fierce wind that almost upset stage decoration. Roger made a joke of the situation.

The set list was the one he used to play lately, but he always includes a nice surprise. This time he played Know Who You Are, which he dedicated specially to the Spanish public, and Say Goodbye, one of my favourite songs of his solo career. He also played a very beautiful new song called The Awakening, which can be briefly listened in his live DVD.

People was very excited and Roger extended the show all he could until midnight, after 2 hours of concert.
