Roger has received over 80 requests in the past year for the use of Give a Little Bit to be used in different TV Shows, films, for charities raising funds trying to help people. It's been used by the Red Cross, United Way and even the Make a Wish Foundation.
Mentoring the Canadian Idols

In true keeping with the message of his timeless hit “Give a Little Bit”, Roger Hodgson is giving back. He is always doing service in different forms and on the Canadian tour he’s been doing it in the form of mentoring. After his performance and mentoring on the Canadian Idol show in August, Roger was deeply touched by the young hopefuls and realized the challenges that lay ahead for them. He invited several of them, whose hometowns he was touring in, to come for continued mentoring and to spend the day with him and watch and learn and join him as a special guest on stage. They were all very grateful and learned so much.
Honoring the Big Brothers / Big Sisters organizations
Through his experiences of mentoring, Roger has really been appreciating the value of mentoring, and has also been inviting people from the Big Brothers / Big Sisters organization across Canada to come for free as his guest to many of his shows. He has been honoring and appreciating people who are giving their time to mentor and support our young people who really need it.

One of the ways I have found to help with fear and sadness is to share a smile and show that I care. “When I do this from my heart to people I meet in my life, I feel better, happier and stronger inside. “For those who can, now is the time to reach out and give of our time at one of the local organizations in town. And also know that simply smiling and showing that we care makes a big difference in the world. Lots of kids are showing up and helping in many different ways. “Giving a little bit of our love, sharing a smile, and showing that we care is a basic teaching in life. June 15th was World Vision Children’s Day Roger joined with KOOL FM in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada to put the word out to give a little bit to help the kids (hear his message here). And thanks to those who responded and reached out to show that they cared 40 children were sponsored and will live a better life. Tsunami Relief Students Raise $100,000 for Tsunami Relief Over $5 million raised through Kids Help Out Campaign Roger played “Give a Little Bit” at ceremonies honoring kids who raised funds for UNICEF to assist tsunami victims. PGA drive to raise 1 billion for charity Roger is now beginning to support other charities with his song “Give a Little Bit” in support of their humanitarian service. “Give a Little Bit” has been chosen to represent the PGA this year in their drive to raise 1 billion dollars for charity.
